“Our work together will give you the space to safely discuss your experiences, explore possibilities and feel heard and appreciated.”

Heti (she/her) is a thoughtful and nonjudgmental listener that views therapy as a dynamic partnership—founded on mutual openness, care, and respect. She sees individuals as the best experts of their lived experience and when given active and holistic support, they can discover their inner strengths and preferred life directions. She strives to be person-centered, trauma-informed, and emotionally attuned, while considering the impact power dynamics, social expectations and structures have on people and the counseling process.

She works from an integrative approach strongly influenced by Narrative Therapy, Collaborative and Appreciative Inquiry ideas, and mind-body and creative practices.

Her training in social work, art therapy and art allows her to bring a varied perspective and skill set to her practice. She has had many years of diverse agency-based experience supporting individuals and families in navigating a range of life challenges.

Heti earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Hunter College School of Social Work and her Master’s Degree in Art Therapy from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
