“Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light” – Brene Brown

For Norah (she/her), each of us has an inner resilience. Sometimes we need support to work through a struggle to realize what our strengths are and how we can tap into them, along with additional coping tools, to live a more comfortable and fulfilling life. For Norah, therapy is a partnership that meets us where we are and provides a warm, affirmative environment for growth and exploration. Norah utilizes a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach, which draws upon a variety of modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness and meditation, self-compassion, and nonviolent communication. She uses varied mediums, such as talking, writing and journaling, art, music, and movement. Norah recognizes that it is a privilege to be trusted with your journey and approaches each patient with openness and empathy. Norah has experience supporting those facing challenges related to anxiety, trauma, depression, phobias, loss, transitions, relationships, and self-esteem.

Norah is a Licensed Master of Social Work in the state of New York. She received her master’s degree in social work from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College and has worked as a social worker in various settings, including libraries, a school, and a community based mental health clinic.
