“No matter what life throws at you, never lose your swagger.”

Reggie (he/him) excels in empowering individuals to reach their true potential. He counsels individuals and families in several areas including depression, anxiety, trauma, and life challenges such as relationships, loss, and self-esteem issues. He utilizes different forms of communication as a therapeutic tool such as talking, writing, journaling, art, and music. Reggie’s experience has also focused on homelessness, domestic violence and formerly incarcerated individuals. Working in this arena truly opened his eyes to the deep struggles that people are dealing with in life.

Reggie has a gift for running groups and getting clients to feel relaxed and participate. He creates topics and questions that bring about deep thought. Many clients have told him that no one has ever asked them that before and made them think so deeply about their life experiences. “We all need a space that allows us to vent, cry, and laugh but also to come up with a way to move forward.”

Reggie currently focuses on different modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Group Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness, with an understanding that some clients may need a different approach that suits them best. Experience has taught Reggie that perfection is an illusion. Mistakes will be made, and challenges will come for “all” of us. Every new day is a day to try and learn how to deal with this complex puzzle called life. Always stay hopeful (ASH)!

Reggie earned his Master of Social Work at Long Island University in Brooklyn, New York with a specialization in substance use disorders and is currently working towards becoming a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC-T).
