“Every adversity, every failure, every heartache carries with it the seed of an equal or greater benefit.” - Napolean Hill

Eva (she/her/hers) believes psychotherapy offers an outlet to be seen, heard and prioritized. She knows that showing up requires profound courage and insight. Eva’s previous experience as a college athlete recognizes the power of a team effort when working toward her clients’ goals and addressing their mental health concerns. Her practice relies on a trauma-informed approach and a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, mindfulness and movement. She understands, however, that each individual deserves and requires a unique and tailored approach that best fits their identity. Eva considers clients’ experiences on both the individual and environmental level, which is important considering the impact external factors can have on our internal narratives.

Eva is in the last year of her earning her Master’s in Social Work at the Columbia School of Social Work. She finds humor to be especially helpful in therapy (and in life), while also acknowledging how important it is that clients feel safe and respected in the therapeutic relationship. She is especially interested in working with teens and young adults given the difficulties that arise during this transitionary period of life.
