Frances (she/her) provides thoughtful, individually tailored support, offering a non-judgmental space for people to explore the roots of their issues, as well as assisting them in identifying short-term strategies to achieve some relief from their immediate distress. She draws from a range of modalities, including psychodynamic therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Skills Training and operates from an anti-racist, LGBTQIA+ identity-affirming, trauma-informed, harm reduction, sex positive, health-at-every-size lens.
Frances graduated from Harvard University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology & biology and obtained her MSW from New York University. Before changing careers to become a therapist, she spent 15 years working in education, neuroscience research, publishing and marketing. She has experience working with folks from a variety of backgrounds facing challenges including major life transitions, aging, illness/disability, parenting, infertility, grief, loneliness, trauma, depression and anxiety.
