“The therapy venture is an exercise in self-exploration.” - Irvin D. Yalom, M.D.

Marianna Vandysheva (she/her) is passionate about creating a warm, collaborative and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings and challenges. As a social work intern in her second year at the Columbia School of Social Work, she is dedicated to helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem challenges, relationship issues and stress management.

Marianna believes in a client-centered, holistic approach, rooted in the idea that lasting positive change comes from viewing the person as a whole and considering social, emotional, environmental and lifestyle factors. Her approach incorporates techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based therapy, psychodynamic practices and narrative therapy.

Marianna is particularly passionate about supporting young adults and career professionals as they navigate life's complexities. She is also deeply interested in women’s issues, including postpartum challenges and providing support to those affected by narcissistic abuse and domestic violence. Marianna is committed to fostering a space of growth and healing, where clients feel empowered to explore their own path toward well-being.
