“This being human is a guest house. Every morning a new arrival. A joy, a depression, a meanness… Welcome and entertain them all!” - Rumi

Nathan (he/him) believes that every person is born with an innate potential for joy, love, laughter, and healing. However, this capacity is often obscured by painful life events and circumstances, and we lose access to the kindness and curiosity that form the core of who we are.

In therapy, Nathan helps clients to slow down and ground themselves in the present moment. By tuning in, we begin to recognize patterns of ourselves that we have struggled with, sometimes for decades. We learn why well-intentioned parts of ourselves always lead us down old pathways of disconnection, judgment, and fear, and we build new relationships with these aspects of ourselves. Exploring the inner landscape in this way can be nothing short of revolutionary, leading us to rediscover what it is like to be free in heart, mind, and body.

Nathan earned his Master’s degree in Social Work in 2023. With over a decade of experience in mindfulness and meditation, Nathan takes a somatic, experiential approach to help clients find inner balance and harmony. Nathan’s therapeutic perspective is informed by his training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Liberation Health, Social Group Work, and other modalities, as well as his experiences in community mental health and substance use treatment. Nathan employs a trauma-informed, antiracist, anti-oppressive, and LGTBQIA+ affirming framework.
