Pamela (she/her)follows an anti-oppressive framework and applies a strength-based and client-centered approach to her work with survivors of sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse and domestic violence. Pamela has extensive experience providing crisis support and on-going counseling to patients who identify as LGBTQIA or HIV-affected and have been impacted by violence and/or struggle with depression, anxiety or PTSD.
In practice, she uses a combination of modalities including Trauma Informed Care, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness. She knows it is imperative to feel secure and connected and strives to create a safe environment for her patients. Her prior work has been with non-profits throughout NYC where she developed a strong commitment to survivors of violence.
